I'm looking into painting my aluminum colored boards red. Anyone have any experience with that project?

In that high wear application, only powder coating is likely to survive unscathed for any length of time.

Pretty hard to color match powder paint in an aftermarket process, and definitely not "do-it-yourself".

Conventional paint is just not likely to stand up to that use. I would guess that the factory ones are powder coated.

I'd be surprised if it was a powder coat

Powdercoating required an electrical circuit, and the boards are a plastic composite.

It also requires a high temperature process to "melt" the powder, which would likely result in warping.

Don't see it as a high wear area - just shoot anyone who has the audacity to touch them. :lol :lol :lol
