Regional forums?

I just had an email from Irish discussing the need to have a member locator to help form get togethers. We have something in the works for this.

This brings up a question about regional discussion forums. Do you think we have reached the point where we would have enough interest in regional sections? They would be used mostly for organizing events but also for any other regionally based discussion.

I'm not sure we have enough SSR owners out there yet to support the regional sections, but I'm willing to give it a try if you all think it would work.

I think we may need one down the road but not for a long while (years). Regions can set up something with email groups through YahooGroups.com to keep in touch.

I agree, we're not to the point either by size or interest to develop regions yet. Think as we grow, the demographics will answer the questions themselves. Would like to see where we're all located, though. Would also be interesting to see where SSRs are being sold. Wonder if Chevy or the dealers' network could give those numbers.
