Damaged my Right Front Fender, embarrassing, don't ask. Got a quote to repair but prefer and it was recommended that a replacement fender would be less expensive and (more important) a better solution. Any suggestions on where I might be able to locate one?

Try Barry Pattison located in Tottenham ON. Good source.

Don't know him, but know of him. Partipates on website, but unsure as to his username.

Good luck. A bent SSR is my worst nightmare!

This is very good advice! He is a real good man from one that has met him! Barry would be your best price cause if you ship from USA just the different in dollar alone and then the shipping $$$$$ He might be able to help. just my 2 cents and you what that worth.
Good luck with your repairs

yes, my fear was I'd have to get it shipped from the US. This, if it pans out will be terrific. Is this the same Barry that can also replace my stepper motor? Might just be my new best friend

Yes it is, give him a call or e-mail him, a lot of parts in Canada within a couple hrs drive.
Thanks, yes just had a nice chat with him. He is in Florida, which I knew, back in late April and the good news, he has a fender, actually 2! Also, some stepper motors which I'll need. Feeling much better. Thanks again Ken and Ed, might end up buying both of you a beer (domestic of course).

Hey, you're right Warrior, my mistake. Free (domestic) beer to anyone and everyone with an offer of a spare right front fender. Offer is definitely available to a Good Ole Boy from Texas. Got the bottle, with your name on it (shaken not stirred) in the frig.

Is that Canadian Domestic? Being a Tennessee Whiskey kind of guy I am not sure what that would be. Don't worry though, I do not have a lead on the fender you need.>:)

No worries, looks like I got a solid lead on a fender. But I'd trade a right front fender for a bottle of whiskey. The damaged one coming off the R of course.

Can a fender be taken across the border from the USA to an SSR owner without a hassle?

Dane
Yes if he drove down and pick it up or someone in US drove it across border. When Canadians X border to US if they are in US for 48 hrs each person in vehicle is allowed to bring back $800. dollars, so if 2 people are in vehicle it's $1600. dollars or 3 people it's $2400. If it's under 48 hrs you have to pay money. Not sure how it works for a US citizen if they were xing border and were asked if they were bringing anything into Canada that was not going back to US they would have to say it was a gift. I know if a gift is under $100 dollars would be no charge, fender being bigger Feds might want some money. You might not even be asked what you are bringing in and drive thru without hassle. All depends with guard you get & what kind of day they're having.
