Not 4 nothin but I kinda like the "resonance sound" at crusing. :thumbs Reminds me of my early cars with "glasspaks". I always liked that rumble when cruisin round.

Rumble

Just wanted to clarify that I like the exhaust rumble during acceleration and at rpms above 1800. But to me there seems to be a kind of resonance (rather than rumble) at rpms between 1500-1800.

Correction: I went out and checked the rpm ranges where I heard the resonating that I didn't like and it was in the 1300-1500rpm range.

When I drive the SSR I want to HEAR the tailpipe tunes! Forget the stereo amp - turn up the exhaust volume!!

I love the sound the exuast makes. Love it more when I go under tunnels and when I step on the gas at low rpm. They should not mess with something that is not broken.

The rumble was put in on purpose. We used the Camero SS as the benchmark. The rumble is still there for '05, but the 1500 rpm resonance (that is sometimes apparent) was reduced. Small block Cameros and Corvettes also have traces of this resonance.

Well, it appears that it is unanimous. Most owners like the sound n want it even louder :thumbs :thumbs :thumbs

A few appear 2 hav either extremely sensitive hearing or r jus not in2 the "old school sounds". :mad

The good news is that it appears that the General is going 2 keep the "rumble" 4 05, according 2 what "freezer" reports. :cheers
