After keeping my truck for a week and modifying the clips that hold the hydraulic lines, the first time I tried the roof today and it gave the dreaded, :"Roof cycle time out" message. Guess it will never be truly fixed. I also noticed a small nick in a v shape on the undeside of the flipper door and there is still rubbing on the outside of the roof area making a lovely small scratch about one inch long and 1/2 inch wide. Jimjaks, is there a fix to this? :mad

Oh, I almost forgot, the original sound on the blower fan on the dash on the no. 1 setting was always chirpy sounding but I kind of got used to it until today. Now it sounds like a very small bird is constantly whistling and it is doing it on virtually ever setting. It also sounds like a leaf or piece of paper is hitting the fan on higher speeds. Anyone know how i can access that fan? I don't have the manual. :confused

mine had the rub mark about 1" x appox 1/4" wide. have some one put your top down so you can watch. mine rubbed the moulding over the sissor mechanics of the roof. this rub was on the front roof panel on the right side just in front of the back roof panel. GM has a fix. they send shorter moulding pieces for over the sissor part. then mine rubbed on the left side. we noticed this when it was replaced. So I have the longer piece on the left side and the new shorter piece on the right side, but nothing rubs now. and you don't notice one piece being different than the other.

Ed, did they check the hydraulic lifts? That seemed to have fixed my timeout light/warning. They said is was low, so they refilled it. no leak detected.

I will have to ask if he checked on that next time I taker her in. I am sure they will be keeping it a while with all these new things popping up. That blower on the fan is driving me nuts! I swear there must be a small bird caught up in there or something. That is just what it sounds like.

I noticed mine making a small amount of noise on that setting too. I will wait til it makes more and more info is available too.

Fan

My fan has been annoying for a long time now. I guess I'm still waiting for GM to say they have a fix. I tend to keep the fan off unless I really need it.
