Hey, I know some of you have had this problem in the past and wondered what the fix is. If I can avoid the Dealer I would love to. Mine times out on the first step of the down cycle. If I release and push the button again after time out it goes down normal but it is not the one touch it was when I bought it. I would like it to work right. Any ideas???????????? :cool :cool

When you get a "roof cycle time out" message, that means that something somewhere is interfering with the top operation. Something is making contact with the mechanism that should not be. The dealer is the only one who can fix it. I have had many a time out with mine and am still experiencing the problem. :mad

Thanks, I am going to look at it this weekend but it sounds like Dealer time. The last time it went to the Dealer they damaged a rim and had to replace it. I still don't know how they did it. :cool :cool

About 5 months ago I had about a dozen of those in a row and then it stopped working altogether at about 8 inches away from the windshield. It would close, but not open - they replaced the left side interlock. Better fix now before it goes out.

Mine also has been in for this problem they said it was the hydraulics being low and It only happend once or twice after I got it back. Maybe it will be a simple fix and if it requires more attention make sure you get other dealers names like Houtex' because they have done the deed and taken the learning curve out.

I am still having the roof time out cycle warning, but on the third try it will come on up. But I have tried something and it will work on the first try everytime.

I push the button to put the top down, and I stop once the windows are down. I once again push the button and the top unlatches and goes down.

So anyone have any ideas? :)
I have put the windows down on their own, with their own switch and tried to put the top down as usual and nope still takes 2 or 3 tries :)
