I know several have offered "advice" on what products to use to clean this stuff, but I would like to "restore" it. The satin chrome on the left side of the steering wheel, which I apparently don't touch as much, has a metallic ,clearcoat luster. The right side that I've cleaned is dull flat silver. What is needed here? the owners manual is worthless on this point.

Driving gloves? ! :) JK I have used the same cleaner I use on the outside of the car (zaino)and it seems to stay clean, I have also found that the outside satin seems to be streak free when I use the absorber to dry it off. I say the oil from your hand is the issue and you need a cleaner that gets rid of oil.
