Partly to get insurance discount I took the AARP SMART driver course. Most the items I already knew but this old dog did learn something new. The course does take a strong look at issues that related to the typical SSR owner demographic which was also informative.

I did learn about a new method for adjusting your outside mirrors. I am trying out now to see if I can acclimate to the change.

The used the Blindzone Glare Elimination Mirror Method

In principle you
  • For the driver’s side mirror, this can be done by placing your head against the driver's side window and then setting the mirror to just see the side of the car.
  • Do the same with the passenger’s side mirror, but position your head at the middle of the car (even with the inside rearview mirror). You should next check to see that the blindzones are truly eliminated.

Bill, I with you. I had just fiddled around trying to set it to see as much as possible. I'll try the head against the window method.
Thanks for sharing.
