I know that these were available only with ordered 05 SSRs at first. I am still awaiting to get the part number for these great bags. I can't wait to order some.

Marc, I got these thru my local chevy dealer parts dept. so there is a part #. the cost was $273 and change including tax. they normally sell to me at employee price. part # is 17800248. :thumbs :flag :seeya

They did not have them when I ordered mine from dealer. only $27 difference. I already had mine a few days.before pictures. My local dealer did not make much.
If I had not liked them, they would have sent them back no ?'s asked. that is worth something to me. SERVICE!! Don't mind paying a little more if they take good care of you. But I might have an exceptional dealer also. :thumbs :flag :seeya :ssr

ps: best deal is not always the cheapest for me.

Hold a Jack

Do you think that these soft bag will hold a hydraulic jack 3 or 5 ton size without it bouncing around?

I'm not sure the soft bags will work for heavy objects. I bought the GM molded double wall, lockable, plastic boxes. I had to buy a pair but only needed one, will sell the never used left side for $195. I have my hydraulic sissors jack, my trailer hitch, a large bag of tools, a 24" breaker bar for wheel lugs, some jumper cables, a rain suit, a calif car duster, (2) windshield squeege's, all in the one side. It is shaped to fit the contour of the side of bed.

How do these soft bags attatch to the truck? Do they fold up? What are the sides made of to keep them in a box shape? Dealer quoted me 293. today. It took him a while to find them.

I hope to make it to decater car show. You can see them 1st hand. The rail track at the top of the sides use 2 of those slide bolts like with the cargo net. If you look close you can make it out. nothing at the bottom. they are smaller than the hard ones. you can get a small hydrolic jack in one. a california duster just barly fits. thats the length. about 6" wide. bags have quik disconnect clips kinda like luggage where you clip the pieces together. thats why you can take them out in 5 seconds. I have hitch and duster in one a jack also soon as bday gets here. it gives the misses something to get me. I to good about buying something rite now if I want it. Not much I need except supercharger. Other one has 2 blankets glass cleaner drying cloth etc. They work well for me. anything going on this weekend down there in texas. no plans here this weekend. :ssr :thumbs :flag :seeya

bags do have a folddown hard botom and a carry strap to carry them with. you could use them like a picknick basket or any thing like that. very versetle.
