A few years ago, Linda and I arranged lunch reservations at the Hill Top Grille in Athens Georgia.
We had about a dozen trucks attend.

Some members requested that we get together again.
So far, we have over 15 trucks that have signed up for October 29th at 11:30am
That way no one will miss the luncheon or game and the roads will be clearer on those days.
If you wish to attend, please post the date you are available so we can make reservations as soon as possible.
I will use this thread as a signup sheet.

Here is the URL for the restaurant.

Good idea!
Debbie and I can attend on any of those dates. So whatever date you post, will be fine with us (hopefully I will have my Blur fixed by then, so I won't have to ride with Debbie)

My wife and I are considering making the trip from North Augusta (SC) to Athens for this gathering. We are somewhat flexible in our schedules and thus would give a final YES/NO after you pick a date. I like the 29th and since it is an AWAY game day for the Bulldogs, it might be safest time for two Gamecocks to visit Athens. 🤫

In our third, (not at same time), Slingshot Yellow SSR.

Could probably make any date selected planning this far out. November might actually be better for us, but if Oct 29 gets the nod, we will try to make it work. The last get together was great, looking forward to Athens and the Hill Top Grille once again.

I see that we are on the listing on the first post as Tuckerred1948. We have indeed put it on our Calander to attend, so that will be Bill & Joyce. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. Till then.....

Mike, My truck developed a gas tank problem this afternoon of which I am having it towed to the repair shop tomorrow. I am wary of making the trip from Augusta to Athens until I am completely sure it is resolved. My wife is also wary of making such trip since this is the second time there has been a tank problem. The last thing we want is to have a vehicle failure somewhere in bulldog country. :) Unfortunately that means we will not be able to attend the 29th gathering. I was really looking forward to meeting the crew(s). I hope ya'll have a great time.

Regards, Bassclef3

I took Tuckerred out today to blow out the cobwebs and circulate the fluids, aired the tires for lower temps while I was at it. Put the top down, 70* in Ga today, and drove about 30+ miles. All good and everything working except fuel gauge, and I still plan to get down to Dragon2U for dash stepper motors and red cluster face at some point! Hope to be able to get her a little cleaner sometime during the coming week. Is there anyone out there who actually enjoys polishing chrome wheels? Everyone pray for blue skies and mild temperatures next Saturday, the 29th.

I truly enjoyed what for two years at least, has been our annual Georgia/Southeast SSR luncheon. @ssroe even had a Fanatic from Ohio show up! If anyone else local might be interested, I propose this group+ doing an occasional lunch & tour of an auto related enterprise. A good place to start I think would be the Savoy Auto Museum in Cartersville. It has a delightful, affordable in-house restaurant with delicious food and if I remember there is a group rate available. Food for thought, perhaps after the year end.
