Hi SSR People,

I will be a short term visitor here and hope I can get some questions answered here about a 5.3 motor with an RPO Code of L33.

I have an 05 Silverado with the 310-HP L33 H.O. 5.3. I am told it is the early year model SSR motor. An aluminum blocked motor supposedly to have LS6 heads. My head casting numbers are 799, how about yours? The compression is 9.9:1 compared to the LM7 9.5:1.
I am preparing to add a Radix Blower to it.

What is the RPO code of your motors? Is there a "B" in your VIN number?
If you guys know about the differences between the L33 and the LM7 please, I'm all ears.
I'll tell you what I know to be true of the L33.
Aluminum deep skirted block. Deep skirted being the lower portion of the block extends below the centerline of the crankshaft, giving more strength and allowing for 6-bolt mains, 2 of which come in from the sides.
Flat top, floating wrist pin pistons with Teflon coated skirts.
LS6 Heads. I would really like some details of the heads, like the CC amount of the combustion chambers.

If indeed we have the same configuration you may find my base line dyno run useful. See My Truck Webb Page Dyno Chart at the bottom of the page. After the 7/9/05 install check back for the final Dyno run. I should have it posted by 7/18/05 at the latest.
