On my way to the dentist (yuk!) this morning, 75 degrees, top down, just lovin' life when a butterfly decided to kamikaze itself to my windshield!

No problem, I'll just hit the washers for a sec to get what was left of him off! BAD MOVE! :nono

Once the washers stared squirting, I was DRENCHED with water coming in from the driver's side windshield post!!! I mean, it POURED in! (Looked like I wet myself when I reached the dentist!) :lol

Note to self: ALWAYS have a towel under the seat!

Ban Windshield Washers

If you are the type to use your winshield washer in front of other moving traffic and pollute other cars with your spray you just got a good pay back.
Hate to show - shine my cars only to have some inconsiderate or just plane stipid fool spray their dirt all over my car.
If you aren't in the above catagory, might just want to pull over and use your travel sprayer on a towel.

Now I would rather have the guy in front of me use his windshield washer to clean off his window so that he can see, than to have him jamming up traffic because he can't.

I hate people who show-shine their cars and are inconsiderate or just plain stupid enough to drive it on the road and expect it to stay clean :jester :jester :jester

Hey looking 4, not sure about where you are, but here, you clean the car,
you can go pretty far to a show quick wipe and youre' good. This is southern California, nice / clean roads, very few bugs. Salt spray the only big problem.
How is one butterfly going to obstruct the whole windshild. Must be a car cover butterfly !!
So your comment really doesen't fit nor is appropriate unless you are just looking for a confrontation..........

Left coasters are lucky, your weather is usually dry for weeks even months here on the east coast, during the summer ,we get thunder storms every afternoon, which can and usually does cause mud and water to remain on the roadway .

It was already 98 this morning at 7:30 and right now it is 90 IN THE HOUSE!
Brownout...too many people using their A/C and the current humidity won't permit a swamper to work too well...at least the ol 'puter is up and running :lol

We get those monsoons as well, probably will get one today...my :ssr sits in the driveway and between the dust storms and the "sprinkles" it has to be gone over every a.m. before work, otherwise, those lookey-loos wonder why I have such a :cool truck and don't take care of it!

Airsmart Yes I remember the "Monsoons" when I lived in Phoenix, when one would get an inch of rain on one side of the street and nothing on the other, and yes my ride was always the one that would get wet then a dust devil would put a fine patina of Arizona soil.
I wash my ride @ least twice a week in the summer

Well of course my comment was appropriate. You can see from my signature that I'm on the East Coast (couldn't tell from yours) and if you have read posts here about people having their entire vehicle covered with dead butterflies or those huge things in Fla. you would see that people do need to use their windshield sprayers (or I guess they wouldn't have even put them on cars). And the words I used were just repeating the words you used.

So yes, I was picking on you for calling people stupid for using their windshield wipers because I thought it was an uncalled for comment.

I guess I will take my lumps now. :)

Hey, you drive on public streets and you take your chances!
:agree

Sounds like maybe this guy needs to have some 'private' roads set up, so he can get his ride to The Show without having to deal with any of the commoners, i.e. normal people doing normal things. Ah, that L.A. attitude! After being born and raised there for 30 years, I couldn't take what it had turned into and left over 25 years ago. I sure miss L.A. - NOT!

No Lumps

All,
Peace !!!!! I guess I am the only one who has had a clean car (even the driver)
messed up because someone in front of me showered me at 70mph with dirty water.
No LA attitude, just like a clean car and careful drivers.
