Is it the handle paddle that has failed or the pawl that rotates on the Allen-head cap screw? I have a couple driver’s handles, but they are missing the small moving part. This seems to be the common failure point....... other than having the Allen-head cap screw back out.Because it's broken......... otherwise I would cover it with a custom engraved heavier guage aluminum handle cover that I have made.

Let me know,
Hey @Dragon2UThanks for the offers, but owner decided to purchase a new one so for right now the need is sidelined. I honestly do not know what the problem is, the truck is at a local repair shop and he asked me for assistance in finding a replacement they said they needed.
Thanks, I will ask.Hey @Dragon2U
If you get the chance, ask him if they collected all the parts out of the bottom of the door. There are two standard failure modes of the outer handle.....
1. The pivot screw backs out and falls to the bottom of the door, taking the pivot pawl with it. Easy to fix.
2. The pivot screw binds and the pivot pawl breaks in half. Always looks like poor casting when you see one. No pivot pawls available anywhere except as part of a whole handle.
You may be able to scrounge the bits out of his door and end up with a serviceable used part....
I too am looking for a chrome center cap.
Hey Doug ... I have a set of running boards off my 05 SMOKIN ASPHAULT...I started the Parts Exchange about 6 years ago in an effort to help members locate, buy, sell and trade parts at a reasonable cost. It has worked fairly well, but it will work better for all if you follow these guidelines:
If you have a part or parts to donate, post it in the PE thread. You do not need to send me your parts, the shipping costs are unnecessarily added to the next transaction. Also, I do not have the time to locate and ship every request. I host this as a non-profit service to members, I have a construction company that takes up most of my time. As always, if you're local, you can drop off parts to donate at my office.
If you have parts to sell or swap, or want to purchase, post them in the PE.
Get in the habit of checking into the PE thread often (like you would the 10,000 posts thread). You may have something a member needs, or there may be something you want or need.
