Hi Guys

I wanted to let everyone know that we now have a chambered exhaust available for the SSR. It is a cat back system that bolts up to the factory flange at the y pipe, and features chambered mufflers with dual 2 1/2" tailpipes that exit through the rear valence opening with 4" rolled edge tips (very similar to the factory tips). We developed it in conjunction with Tom Henry Racing in PA, and the system sounds awesome.

Normal retail price is $729 but to introduce this system we want to do a group purchase for 699 and free shipping to the continental 48 states. Details are below

Stainless Works introduces Tom Henry Racing 2004 Chevy SSR chambered exhaust

Stainless Works introduces its new chambered exhaust for the 2004 Chevy SSR. The exhaust features CNC mandrel bent 2 ½” 304 Everlast Stainless pipes, dual straight through chambered mufflers, and dual rolled edge tips which exit in the stock location in the rear valence. The spiral perforated louvered core promotes high velocity exhaust flow while minimizing restriction and providing a deep mellow sound with no interior resonance. For those who want to be noticed, extra loud mufflers can be built special order for no additional cost. All hangers and clamps are included. MSRP is $729.

Stainless Works Chambered 304 stainless exhaust system will be the easiest exhaust system you have ever installed-and the last since it is made entirely from 304 Stainless. All Stainless Works 304 Everlast Stainless exhaust systems are available with a lifetime guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship.

Stainless Works manufactures high quality CNC mandrel bent headers, exhaust systems, mufflers and components for musclecars, street rods, street machines, trucks, sport compact, and motorcycles. The company sells both private label products and products under the Stainless Works brand. Stainless Works products include: 65-04 Mustang Tri-Y headers and exhaust, 55-66 Thunderbird exhaust, 67-02 Camaro headers and chambered and non chambered exhaust, 64-72 Chevelle headers and exhaust, 55-64 Chevy exhaust, 55-03 Corvette exhaust and sidepipes, stainless mufflers, clamps, bends, and air intake tubes.

how about a dyno?

Curious if you are going to have the SSR Dyno'd before and after to see what the effect it has on the truck.

Also is your standard Muffler the same sound as the stock SSR or deeper/louder?

Thanks in advance for the help.

There are 2 sources for headers for the SSR at this time, unfortunately not manufactured as of yet, Stainless Steel Al Noe will do headers on your vehicle in Ohio for $1200. I am working with another company who may go to production but needs commitment for at least 5 sets of headers no price at this time.

Anyone interested? I am going to do the headers either way to help the supercharger breath once I received it from Magnuson Products:grouphug

Hi Guys

Pictures of the chambered system are available at:

http://www.stainlessworks.net/GM New Products

Sorry but I have been having trouble getting pictures linked into the site.

We would be happy to build headers for the SSR but have nto had any demand for them-yet-we would be happy to do so if we could get a vehicle to build them on and also have 5 people interested.

We have not yet had the opportunity to dyno the exhaust but from previous experience with other systems we know the gain will be 5-15 RWHP with no tuning.

The muffler has a much deeper, more aggressive sound than the stock system-it sounds more like a "Hot Rod".

Thanks

We installed the Chambered system on our '04 SSR. The install was fairly easy and the truck sounds 100% better. It has a great deep sound. Also, when coming down a hill in a lower gear, it has that great popping sound. My grandfather had two corvettes (64 and 66) with the chambered sidepipes. When he saw that a chambered system was available for the SSR he had to have it. The new tips are the exact same size and shape, except they are not tapered down to the inside pipe diameter when looking in from the back. They are open.

What two sources do you have for the headers? I will be interested when chrome or ceramic coated are available. Al J

Mike at Simple Engineering is currently getting a bolt in dual exhaust system ready for installation. I believe it is stainless, and has the sound of the old style glass packs. The prototype sound was fantastic. It is a dual muffler system that is equalized for length to give a wonderful sound.
