I contacted a dealer in MA and they have 2 '05 yellow SSRs. Both have everything except the tow package and chrome wheels and they are automatics. The sticker price on the car is $45,755. I have searched in the SSR for sale forum and have noticed that many there are some cars way below the sticker price. Since I am not an american and not familiar with dealers over there, i dont want them taking advantage of me so to get to the point, do all dealerships negotiate on the price for a car or are the sticker prices what the car costs and nothing can be changed? in other words, no discounts at all?
Also if anyone knows of a dealer who can get me a better price then 45k for an '05 please PM me or post here with the person's name and number. I dont have an email account so emailing is useless for me

Where are you at?

There are some deals out there but spring is coming and prices will probably go up. If you find a dealer with lots of ssr's lying around the lot they're more motivated to deal!

any dealer who expects to get sticker is either dreaming or lucky enough to have a lot of really rich buyers who couldn't care less what they pay!

other than my mini cooper (which I bought out of NY to avoid paying OVER sticker like all the dealerships in CA were charging) I have never paid more than $500 over invoice for a vehicle, the 05 SSR included.

First step, go to hotmail.com or yahoo.com or whatever and get yourself a free email address. c'mon man, this is the 21st century!! Then get the email addresses for the fleet sales managers at your closest dealers and email them all with the specs you want and tell them you'll pay $500 over invoice, and let them get back to you. I can't imagine they won't, the dealer still makes out on that deal just fine.

that's of course if you're willing to wait 6 weeks or whatever the lead time is for them to build you one - and I don't know how the factory holds are affecting the ability to custom order - but they may even be able to search around and trade for what you're looking for. I was down in LA for christmas and the dealer down there was able to find exactly what I wanted and get it there the next day for $500 over.

I went to eat yesterday and went past the Chevy dealer and he had 5 SSR's setting out, I wanted to take a look at the blue one so I pulled in, The black 05 said on the window was $50,000 now $39,900, For a dealer that is higher than anyone not a bad deal

Was ridin in my baby Sunday n stopped by my local Chebbie store, who is famous 4 their price gouging. :mad

The saleshole comes over n says can I hump oooppppsss help u? Havin nothin better 2 do that afternoon, I said yes. I'm interested in trading my 03 SSR #17of25 for a 05 SSR 606, new Corvette loaded n a Trail Blazer.

Well he cudn't wait 2 start layin it on. :lol He almost carried me over 2 the SSR's, 5 of'm lined up. As we walked I was askin him ?'s about'm n he started dazalin me with :bs. He didn't know squat except 2 say that I cud "mayb" get as much as $2000 off the sticker of over 50K. :glol I played along. Then we were going 2 c the vettes n I said do u think they wud give me sum cash back as well? :confused

He stopped, turned n said "Huh???" I said, " Well, u know how much this SSR is worth, right?" He looked at me like I jus stepped outta a space ship. :eek

He said, "Waddya mean?" I said, "Well, I figure that those 3 vehicles r worth a lot less than my #17 n I shud really get sum cash back." He says, "Huh!!!???" :glol U hadda b there!!!! :lol

So I said, "Yeah, I told u I wanted 2 trade my SSR FOR THE 3 CARS, NOT TRADE IN ON THE 3 CARS."

Well he nearly fell over. Had that look of a guy that jus realized he got shot. Then he thinks a min n says "Wait a min, let me get the SM" He starts walkin away, goes bout 30', stops, turns, cums back n says "No, I don't think they'll go4it."

So I said, OK...keep in touch!!!! N here's ur sign!!! :glol

I agree with you there... I was in stiches too lol...

Dang it ssr17of25 should have asked him if he knew what a Signatuare Series SSR was and have him guess what it was worth! :lol

Diaj they had a 04 parked with the 05's, I called the dealer and it was a 04 black with chrome wheels and the price on it was wrong he said it was $50.000 marked down to $33 something, The black 05 was $43 something, PM if you want any info
