Has anyone in California been able to install headers and cat backs that will meet Calif. Emissions? I noticed the Dynatech says their systems do not meet the emissions here in the land of fruits and nutz!

Jim:

Thanks for the response. So ~~~~~~~~~ do you suppose Magnasun or Dynatech have systems that meet CARB requirements? I had a Whipple S/C put on my new Suburban in 2000, which included headers with dual exhaust through a single cat and muffler. They were able to supply a CARB sticker and it has passed smog each time.

Just seems to me that there should be an answer.

By the way, did you check the fuse for your fans when you had your problem. I had a similar problem with mine and it was a fuse!!!!!

Yes, yes, The CARB sticker is a tripping point.

Has any one read of a hard number as to how many sales it takes, in order to get pay back on the investment of getting a CARB exemption for something like headers?

It occures to me that, it's too bad the Magnuson supercharger wasn't developed as a package with headers and cats.

Anyone know if there are headers that fit the 05, six speed? It appears as though the cat back portion has been figured out:thumbs I now need to find the headers.

Thanks,

Rob: Be sure to see my reply to your other posting on headers. The presence of both CATS and FOUR oxygen sensors is CRITICAL to both SAFDE operation and acceptable fuel mileage. Call me if you need more explanation on this. My cell phone seems to work most of the time here in the NM mountains. If you miss me, leave a message. This is truly critical to not screw up.
