FWIW Attached is an Excel spreadsheet listing nhsta technical service bulletins on the SSR.

Rename the file to delete the .txt extension and it sould open in Excel, should you have Excel that is. Otherwise open Excel first then file>open

edit: On second thought I rewrote the file as an html page. Same, same. Rename your copy to remove the .txt and it should open in your browser.

If you see what look like duplicate lines, I did too, but each applies to a separate year model SSR. The yellow highlighting is mine. Those are the items I've seen discussed here.

same here

BEER,

I opened it with excel and word. Neither of them would give a readable format.
It gives me page sizes, fonts format, and border sizes, but no info.

Worked for me - thanks! Where can you find the text of the TSB? I'm looking for a paint code for the silver, and I see one of the TSB's is a paint code for the wheels...
If you have the CD version of the service manual, and it's recent enough, it will be in there. For sure the service manager at your dealer can pull it up and print it. They have the same info as what is in the cd version of the service manual, except it's updated by subscription and always current. Beyond that, I just don't know.

Note: when I bought the CDs, they shipped a version that I thought was farther out of date than reasonable.

We tried to get the paint code for the silver for the running boards (we want to paint the rest of the grill pieces a matching silver) from both the service department and the body shop at our dealership - no luck. That's why I got excited when I saw there was a TSB for a paint code! Maybe I will try asking another dealership in town now that I have the TSB number. Thanks!!

Thanks

So, cool!!! When I plugged it into excel you even had set the data sorting on so that I could sort and display by MY to eliminate viewing the irrelevants!

Thanks again!

Is there a way to access these bulletins online from GM? :thumbs

I honestly didn't know saving to html from within Excel would preserve the sorting. Or that the html file could be reopened in Excel. I just wanted to make sure anyone who didn't have Excel could open it.

To the best of my knowledge what the dealer has is called:

EXPERTEC
General Motors Service Information

Basically it's an entire website on a set of CDs, and contains all the available service manuals for the entire GM lineup. Dealers get regualr updates. From the copy I have, dated Dec. 3003 V.2003.17, I know there were at least 17 versions released that year. The currently unavailable version from Helm is V.2004.19.

Right now, You might be asking yourself, "How did Glenn get a copy?" I purchased the CD based SSR Service Manual from Helm. What I received, was the same thing the dealer has, except the version wasn't the most up to date, and unlike the dealers, no updates are included in that price.

I truly doubt this will ever be available online for free.

This doesn't have to do with the TSB's, just a remark to the above post. I had my engine cover and air filter housing painted to match the red of my SSR. All they needed was the VIN to get the exact match of Torch Red. I took the parts to the Hummer dealer in my car. They didn't need to see the truck to get the color right.
