Hey Buffy....we thought you were already part of the family seeing as how you and Marc are so talented with the adobe workshop:)
Someone asked me if Buffy was my twin brother :eek ... they said the only difference was that he had a beard! :lol

Ps I shaved my beard off and got smaller framed glasses so that no one would call me Buffy anymore.... :boxing
see the before shot below... LOL

I've been a very blessed man this year.
Shiftz33, I could have said it better. I can't believe how lucky that we have been. I must have done SOMETHING good in my life to deserve it.

About five years ago, Pat (my wife) and I decided that we are lucky enough to be able to have Christmas everyday if we chose to and we were just buying stuff for each other to have something under the tree, and not really needing whatever was there. So, we have been "Secret Santas" to individuals or families who were less fortunate than us.

Now, we didn't go to any government agency, we just kept our eyes and ears open all year listening to our friends who knew of or heard of someone who was going through some bad times. And with all of the outsourcing or re-sizing, a LOT of people around us have been hit. Well, as adults, we should be able to cope with these changes, but kids have no idea of what's going on. Soooooooooooooo, enter us, the Secret Santas.

Really, on Christmas Eve we sneak over to one or two of the houses that we've heard about and hide clothes, treats and toys on the front or back porches and tape a "note from Santa" on the door telling the kids where to find them.

Believe me, it feels better than getting that supercharger that I really want! HA!

Try it. It will change your life, and I truly believe we get it back ten-fold!

God bless and have a Merry Christmas!

Well done, Buffy

We've got something similar in several cities, called Santas Anonymous. It's co-ordinated by volunteers from the local shelters and food banks. There is also a Santas run with the HOG guys (Harley Owners Group). Nothing gets a lump in your throat more than watching big burly guys grinning ear to ear carrying toys to the local food bank.

Merry Christmas to all.- We get to spend it visiting our 3 chilldren, who are all in the area for the first time in years. :grouphug

Then we get ready to be grandparents - didn't realize how old I was till I found out I was married to a grandmother!!! :lol :lol

FUNNY STUFF! Went to 35th anniversary party recently when the husband was asked his secret to a long marriage, he replied, "It's simple. Just do what she says!"

We ALL laughed!

Thanks Buffy and Flash for the knowledge that I am not alone in sharing my blessing with others less fortunate. It sure does make one feel really good from the inside out to put a smile on a kids face, and reminds you of what "Christ"mas is all about. Merry Christmas to all!

It's nice to be in such great company, we too have supported local centers but lately our childrens school has had families that have fallen on hard times. and My husband who we know is very generous (bought my SSR for my Birthday) Donated his hard earned money and I shopped til I dropped and wrapped gifts for 7 different families all day Sunday. It is really a blessing to be able to give to these families. One mother with 3 children only wanted mattress' and boxes for them. But of course Santa gave so much more. Merry Christmas to all you Santas' out there. God Bless
