Want to personally thank Rob and Lloyd and everyone responsible for the Great Tri-State SSR Run to Laughlin. What a trip ! !

I had the time of my life. From the Highway Patrol in Arizona, pulling a Uee and volunteering to escort our hot little butts out of Needles :nono to the nightly cruises on the strip of Laughlin (valets at the Ramada are still wondering "wha hoppend") to the nightly cruise to the Sonic Drive-in leaving the "malt" manager with a logistic serving nightmare ! ! :glol

The trip to Oatman topped it all. Never saw so much Donkey crap in my life (or were those "Mustangs"). I never did find the car wash there, however. :)

The Highlight: Supercharged Jerry in his Slingshot, so unselfishly leaving a sample of Goodyear rubber on the parking ramp and valet approaches. Obviously some kind of scientific experiment Goodyear was conducting.

A lot of fun putting faces with screen names. I know I'll never remember you all, soooooooo, will just have to do this again next year.

Thanks again, all. :seeya

Gary - it was great meeting you - thanks for the dinner to say the least.

We owe the second half of Lloger big for that bondo comment. When i get a plan I'm sure I can count on you to help take care of that cheesy yellow.:glol

I had a great time

This was a really fine outing. Lots of great memories. Lloyd - you were a wonderful MC.:thumbs Funny though, your better half didn't need the microphone:eek ....... something about being a teacher.....

All you Ricochet drivers.... Don't let the bondo cracks get you down, silver is still a better undercoat than yellow.:lol

Art - please pm me with the details of your pre-production parts. I thought about it and am interested.

We are gonna have to do this again..... and again, and again, and again....

What a fine group of mixed nuts.:cool

Attached Keeper photo..... Gerry - drop me a PM with your e-mail address and I'll send you the original.

Regards all,

Mike:jester

Thanks Everyone!!

Rob & Sharon, Randi & Tim, Lloyd and Gerry, Mike & Deb:

THANK YOU! for a wonderful time. We had a blast all day - your hard efforts paid off well and are sincerely appreciated! It was great to put faces with the names on this site. Each and everyone of you we met is truly worthy of the priviledge of SSR ownership! Can't wait to do this again.

Blast

P.S. Wouldn't you know - STILL didn't make it to 1000 miles yet. Pulled into the garage at home at 10:50PM with 999 on the odometer. :banghead

CRACKS!!!? I got no cracks in my bondo:glol

I'm starting a thread with the info for the Russell (Edelbrock company) braided brake lines. If we push them they may decide to produce them.

Tri-State Run Pics

Here are the first of my pics, more to come. We had a great time and great weather at the Avi Resort. Gerry and I met a lot of new SSR owners which are now friends. Thanks to Rob (C1Trob) for starting this event, and to Randi (Artsmart) for all her help. Thanks to everyone else who pitched in and to all the SSR owners and Co-Pilots who showed up. We had 52 SSR's representing California, Arizona, Nevada, Washington and Utah. Virginia was represented by Big Jim, but alas, no SSR.

Guys it looks like you all must have had a great Cruise. Fiftytwo SSR's must have been a site to see. I know there has got to be more pictures out there; or are they being saved for the monthly photo contest. Looks like another great adventure out west.

More Pics

Here are a few more. I didn't have my camera at the Sonic Invasion, so I hope someone else can post some pics of that. I apologize for not putting names to all the faces, but there were just too many new faces for me to remember all of them.

While we are thanking people

I want to thank Don Hobson (zainossr) for donating two bottles of Zaino car wash to our raffle. I love the stuff. The raffle prizes were spread out on a table and the raffle winner was allowed to select his/her own prize. I know they were appreciated.

Thanks Don, I hope it comes back 10 fold.

Yes you can count on my. You being a rocket scientist, you'll understand when I say, "The intensity of my revenge is directly proportional to the square of the amount of time it takes to achieve retribution" :nono

I appeal to all other ricochet pilots and co-pilots to join in this important cause. :)

Silver is the only logical color for a bullet. I could guess the only place you'd find bullets in any other color would be, maybe, on Brokeback Mountain ? ? :glol
