Check with Mike on this one - this may be the 6 speed near Ottawa. If so, I think he bought Jim's Pac Blue instead.

I was thinking the same thing when I posted the owners last night so I did double check posts and this is the one Mike bought with 10 miles on it, so the posts state:

Anyway, I dig and poke and do the best I can. It seems Mike never bought the Redline but sure seemed like he did. I can't PM everyone for confirmation. The ownership of all these vehicles is buried in the posts and unless someone like myself digs it out that's where it will stay because if we wait for everyone to post their own info the cows will come home first.

This is for sale currently. It is being promoted as VYJ and Post #1 indicates it is VYJ.
The pictures show chrome interior package but not exterior.
Is it considered VYJ if interior chrome only?
I was of the opinion if an SSR was ordered with VYJ it was the entire package.
It appears I was incorrect. Chrome wheels of course are an entirely separate issue.
Through passage of time and knowledge gained I find I am having to edit several of my posts in this thread. The link has expired so I am not sure what went on with this SSR but the VYJ (chrome package) included both interior and exterior chrome.

A lot of the late 06s didn't get the cover plate. Mine (23387) didn't have one - bought one on EBay.
Seems odd that his has interior chrome, but not exterior.

I assume it was never there. I think it fair to say a good portion of '06's did not have the engine cover insert when delivered so it isn't a case of "replacing", it would be "adding".
Just noticed Flassh's post.
Kate didn't have one either (almost identical SSR #23333) and it didn't stop me from buying her.
I bought one from RSSRTOY, but not always available either.
At first I thought he may have added the interior chrome.
2.1.2013 - Since this post I can now confirm the MY2006SSR was not offered with the BCP/BHP engine cover insert as an available option. The exceptions to this are the first 48 built, the Brickyard 400's.

Your chrome package was added although it was likely built the same day the chrome package first became available.
Yours was built with the ultra silver wheels as well and I am pretty sure it was upgraded to chrome wheels.
