Hello Fellow Fanatics !!

I am honored to announce officially,...:director:
I just became the new Caretaker for "Indy" the Brickyard 400 pace truck!
(Yes, I know the rules,.... I named her,.. now I godda keep her).

She is back in Mass.

I have waited for this day for 9 years now.
Loved her the first day she pulled in my yard for the 4th of July,. 2010.
Didn't know my Permagrin could get bigger,.. But it did!!! :D

She will be well maintained and respectful miles added to her Oh-dang-o-meter.:banana

I want to Thank
Doug for his patients and working with me to pass the keys with confidence.
Charlie for all the goodies he supplied with the truck and saving her from a life locked in a museum
Snowmuncher for all the history and mechanical advice
Dicktator for keeping the fire stoked for me to follow my dream.
And of course ... My Mom,. She had so much pride,. it leaked out thru her tear ducts.

I am happy to share this awesome experience with all of you.

I am keeping Bertha (Redline). ... always good to have a spare.
She will be the long haul truck.

Wooo Hoooo...:hyper::hyper::hyper:
Looking forward to bringing her to Watkins Glen and the CCB !!!!
See you all there

Wild Bill !!!!!!!!!!!!!

CONGRATULATIONS Wild Bill & "Chilli Pepper" !!! Because of you all we won the Best Club Spirit Award at the 14th Annual International Route 66 Mother Road Festival in Springfield, Illinois, in 2015 at their Friday Night City Lights Cruise In. We had 35 or 36 beautiful SSR's in the parade of a 1,000 vehicles.

Have suggested to the 2019 International Rally hosts that they try to get all the past hosts & hostess' to come to Branson, because I think that was where the Bondo Princess' hosted the first one. Bob & Jan Alexander - tennesseecozydog - :ssr

Not sure where the appropriate place for it but would like to see "INDY" with The Flag Rack at some point. Sorry I will miss you at The Glen.

Close Bob, but it was Springfield, MO. There are just too many Springfields around, to keep them all straight.

Very good to know it has a safe home, and you guys deserve it.
Better behave 'cause if Red leaves both trucks go with her. :glol
Such a shame MA insists on front plates.

I agree with the bummer "front plate" ..
BUT ,.. just an FYI,...
no drilled holes (2 sided sticky tape :eek:_75:)
Bertha held hers for 40k miles ,... no holes.

Sorry you cant make it,.. but, its not like its right around the corner..

Indy will hold the Flag rack and lead the Veterans day parade on Nov 11th
(as long as Pittsfield don't dump salt by then.:banghead)

If I get a chance, Ill let her try it on for size and clip some pics.

I will also offer her for national Anthems at special events.
Imagine popping on those strobes as the singer belts out "and the hooooome of theeeee braaaaaaaaave"
