A few folks asked me about my #8 vin number. (B100008)
The question was how could I have a number 8, when the first 25 cars made
were the signature series?, and mines not. Well I finally got word from Chevy.
and for what its worth, this is from customer relations dept at Chevrolet.
Seems its the letter B, which, if i recall is the 10th digit or letter
reading left to right in the vin # and which stands for the Plant my car was built.
In this case was Lancing, Mich. it was in fact the 8th SSR made in that factory.
However there could very well be the same number, like the signature
cars that would be 100008 except with a different letter, for a different factory. Seems weird, I thought it went in a row right up to that latest car made,
might be interesting to see if anyone else has mathing numbers. :)

Hey Marc

Could you ask Bob about the possibility of getting retro hood strut kits made available and some work on the other issues we can't get our dealers to remedy? Could you help us out with the continued questions of the felt on the rubber seals with BOB and if he is willing to join in our eforts to get a louder voice?? PLEASE!! I am not getting anyhere with my dealer since they are not getting support on the same issues
