A good friend of mine just took delivery on a new (2007) Escalade. In addition to every imaginable bell and whistle, it comes with a 6.2 liter engine and 6-speed automatic transmission. I couldn't help but think that this would have been the ultimate 2007 SSR had Chevy continued them. Now I am wondering if that drivetrain would retrofit into an earlier SSR.
