Hello, GM pumps hot radiator fluid threw 2 ports at the bottom of the Throttle body. in/out This is to heat the TB to prevent icing.

Im not looking to gain any horse power as some people claim by bypassing the throttle body heat system.
>> But I live in Texas and see no need to have my TB heated << By bypassing I`ll know my throttle body will be cool all the time = Cooler air intake ?

Personally, I wouldn't waste my time with this mod. It is not worth any HP as has been demonstrated in the Vettes for some time. Your SSR will run just fine, even in TX, with this mod.

Another thing to consider.... You don't have to live in an area where you get freezing temps to have ice build up in/on intake tubes. Lower temps, plus high humidity, plus a lot of air moving through the tube equals ice build-up. The temps do get low enough from time to time in Houston for this to possibly happen.
