With all the technology out there why does the time and date not post correctly with a new post or PM?
If it is not correct you can click on User CP and then, on the left column find the Settings & Options section and there is a button for Edit Options. If you click that and scroll down you will find Date & Time Options where you can fix it.

When you have done so remember to SAVE OPTIONS.

Somewhere when I first joined the Forum it was explained they either use the time where the person posting lives or east coast time and that is why it is always off from my computer. Depends on your time zone or something I guess.

If you follow the directions from Bluestreak you can set the correct timezone for where you are. It makes things much less confusing.
