Torsen Differential and Mini Spare Tires

I was reading this pdf from the Torsen web site, when I noticed it saying that the differential in our SSRs is "mini tire compatible".
It is written in a dark blue "T-2 Features" box near the bottom of the last page.

So what I'm wondering is "Just how big a difference in tire diameter can this differential soak up?"

The axle may be OK, but the traction control and the ABS will have problems with different than production tire diameters.

Freezer, if I was to get a standard Trailblazer/Envoy full-size spare could I use it on the rear strictly as a "limp home" device with the TC turned off (15 miles or less)?.

Statistically, I am most likely to get a flat that close to home, and calling my son or friend to bring me the spare and changing tools is infinately more appealing to me than watching my SSR get drug up on a flatbed. :mad

Thanks! Blast
