The first meeting of the Texas Owners of SSR's (TOSSR's) met on the Riverwalk on Friday night. The full quorum of Wildcat66 and Houtex were in attendance, having adjusted on the fly to the cancellation of the first annual Wimberley Run. Wilcat66 was elected President and Houtex, Vice President. Or maybe it was the other way around - we'll have to check with the Recording Secretary, Mrs. Houtex who seemed to be more interested in sampling Pina Coladas around the Riverwalk. Given there are 3000 SSR owners in the State of Texas, we assessed an attendance penalty of $1.00 each to help defray the costs of fajitas, pina coladas and the occasional Scotch.

On Saturday, after a necessary (at least to 'Cat and Mrs Houtex) shopping trip to Market Square - we cruised in a caravan to New Braunfels for barbecue. Then - just to prove we could find it - we went to Wimberley on a cool winding Hill Country route. Took a pic - showed off the top to a antique shop owner and then headed back home . Moonlight Cruz - we would have called you - but no number and no computers with us. Beautiful place - we're comin' back.

Below should be pics of the Mrs. Houtex and Wildcat66, 'Cat and Houtex at the meeting at the Hard Rock Cafe, SSR Babe in New Braunfels, 'Cat and Houtex in New Braunfels, and the Wimberley "proof" (we couldn't find the High School)

Fine Art

While the ladies were shopping in Market Square I rested my knee in front of a caricature artist. Unfortunately, it was a littel bit bigger than my scanner, so I'm missing some ear parts. Check out the jacket logo on the bottom right.

Well - it just seemed to fit the pic. Maybe we could change the caption to "And the winner in the YELLOW retro truck category is....."

Not a Texan but,

I wish I could have been there with you. Sounds like you had a lot of fun. I really enjoyed our L.A. to Palm Springs run in Dec. and I'm looking forward to Kwhopper's Kings Canyon/ Sequoia run. Who knows, I may get down your way someday and if I do I would sure like to meet up with a few Lone SStaR SSR owners. Glad you enjoyed yourselves.

:agree with lloger, sounds like you-all had fun! houtex you look great in that caricature! I really like that SSR logo! I can certainly see that there are a large number of SSR owners living in the land of Huge things! :thumbs Again, it sounds like everyone had a grand-ole time. I look forward to more SSR club stories:)

I happen to notice the yellow SSR up there with a pretty young lady next to it with a cool saying on the rear window, my daughters would get a kick out of that! :yesnod

Hey you two! (or three, counting Mrs. Houtex)

Thanks for sharing pictures of yourselves. It's nice putting a face on our SSR friend's name.

Maybe we need a thread to post our ugly mugs! Membership might go down, (HA!) but it would help us get to know each other better.

Again, thanks for sharing.........

It was a Spurs game and they beat the Mavs. However - they did lose to the Rockets the next night. Even more detail.

Hey Houtex Looks like you guys had a blast . When r u coming up to DFW again?

Bert
Probably Topcats again. We've gotta set up another cruise in Hill Country. It was beautiful weather and the roads just challenging enough to be fun, but you could still enjoy the scenery.

Hey - midnight cruz - you up for trying again.
