Can anyone tell me if there is a heavier trailer hitch available as I need a class three to be able to tow my car trailer , and also where is the wiring harness located thanks Johnnyb.

The wire is bundled and wrapped completely with black tape up by the frame, about 1 foot behind left rear tire. No connector supplied. Pull it down and remove the tape and you'll find 4 or 5 wires not attached to anything. You buy the connector you need and follow the instructions to attach.

I used the ground wire (attached to the connector I bought) and attached it up to the frame... holds the connector up out of sight when not in use. However, you do have to get on your knees and bend down to plug the trailer connector into it. Didn't want to drill a hole to mount the plug.

:thumbs thanks for the info, i have the gm receiver but it's only rated at 2500 lbs. I will have make a new hitch or see if I can cross ref. one from another gm thanks John B.
