Entered my SSR in local car show and won a trophy. Just enjoy placing my SSR in local classic car shows and getting the attention. Was shocked to hear my name as second place winner in the stock 1973 to present class, what a treat. There were a lot of cars and trucks in this class and I never expected to even have the judges stop and look at my SSR? The first place winner was a 1973 Volkswagen Carmen Ghia which was very nice. Guess I won't feel guilty anymore about entering classic car shows. I have to say my SSR did attract a lot of attention and questions? We need to start getting a commission from GM for being their best Public Relations people.....

Congratulations Fred. You'll have to bring your trophy out to Irwindale to display at the car show.

I'm doing like Brando did in one of his first movies where he tied the trophy to his handle bars. I'm going to duct tape it to the hood. I'll bring it to the Irwindale event, but you know I won't put tape on any part of my SSR, black isn't forgiving.....

Just more local classic car shows, but now with a trophy to quiet the guy who said I was forty years early at a recent show....
Congratulations Fred, I got 1st place and choice award for 80's and up at my 1st car show. I just went there to meet Wildcat66 and anyone else that would show up. It is a great feeling. :cool :ssr :thumbs :ssr :flag :ssr :seeya

Attention Getter

Our SSR's aren't out of place entering them in classic car shows. If you have entered your SSR in a show, have you noticed it seems to get more attention than the classic parked next to you? Think placing these fine trucks in shows will only help GM sell this fine vehicle. Also think GM will no longer produce the SSR after 2006 and they should lock the price in at MSRP and they will sell. :thumbs :thumbs
