Hi to all, I have owned my 2005 SSR since 2007. I live in Québec , and I have 43,000km. My SSR goes great , but last year the trunk lid stopped opening on hot days . And now it opens on the first click but if I close it it doesn't open a second time . I have to wait a few hours for it to work . I know how to open it manually , but obviously the goal is for it to open with the FOB . I brought it into to my local Chevy dealer to get it fixed and they told me that the actuator was defective but that the part is not available anymore So they couldn't help me.
Any body out there have any idea where I can buy an activator , or is there another way to fix the problem?

Add the new Lid Struts--from Simple Engineering--will help open the lid--Easy 20 minute job. AND it will POP open!!

@Jack Quebec,----Consider clicking on the Colored Letter/Picture, top far right corner, go down to "Account Settings", click, and fill in your information. Especially your LOCATION and the year of your SSR, like the rest of us. Then go the the left side and click on "Signature". Also put the year of your SSR in your "Signature", and anything else you want to show in your posts, and we can help you better if you have a problem. When you finish click the "SAVE" box.
