I was working on the 05 yesterday and swapped out the air cleaner with a K&N air box and filter. Got it all swapped over and started the engine with the hood open and heard an odd noise. I looked around and found the engine cover was hitting the trans dipstick and making it rattle. I pulled the dip stick and flipped it 180 so the flip handle was facing toward the fender rather then the engine. It seems like my engine cover is moving quite a bit, I will pull it and see if it is on right or if something is funny there.

It is mounted on rubber grommets to avoid transmitting engine noises to the cover itself. They all seem pretty loose. Take off the engine cover insert and wiggle the cover.......... you will see the slop in the mounting .

Take care,

Mike
