Latest SLP catalog offers 160 Degree thermostat with the following statement:
"160 Deg thermostat reduces the chance of engine knock when towing, and a cooler engine makes more power. Reduces engine operating temperature from the stock 230 deg. but only when used with our DiabloSport ll programmer".
It is offered for 2004-05 4.8L, 5.3L and 6.0L
So as Jim G alluded to in an earlier post, there is more to it than just swapping the thermostats. There may be some performance issues here. John317 :leaving
