Upper bushing broke on me about 3 months ago and had it towed in. I showed mechanic a lower bushing I had recently purchased. However, the mechanic found the upper one broke, and the lower one was already replaced with the same kind I had previously bought. Oh well.

I replaced the lower bushing at 76k miles as preventitive maintenance and the bushing was still ok. 2005 SSR spent it's entire life in Michigan until we bought and named her Ms. Sunshine 2 years ago. Changing out satin shift console to chrome in a few weeks and plan to change upper bushing now that I've read this post. Thanks everyone for the heads up!
