I have my voms number, can I learn anything from it?
Several members have asked about their order status numbers.
I don't know if this is what they need, but I found it interesting.

My dealer printed a VEHICLE ORDER EVENT HISTORY for my SSR
today. It might help explain the process.
CODE DESCRIPTION
1100 Preliminary order accepted
1101 Preliminary order added
2000 Accepted by GM
2500 Preferenced
3000 Accepted by Production Control
2575 Cancellation request to order at plant
2150 Cancellation request pending
2097 Plant cancel confirmed
0000 Order Request Cancelled
1100 See above
1101 "
2000 "
2500 "
3000 "
3100 Available to Sequence
3300 Scheduled for Production
3400 Broadcast
4V02 Vehicle on Transportation Hold
4000 Available to Ship
4104 Bailment Invoice
4106 Release Bailment
4150 Original Invoice
4B00 Bayed

You can see that my dealer was invoiced. That was 10-27-03.
I had a scare yesterday. the 27th. A co-worker spotted a
transport with a red SSR out in the road unloading. I didn't believe him at first but after a brief moment I sprinted to the road and sure enough there it was! I told the driver that it was mine but he said he had picked this one up and it was going back to
Michigan on a recall. In my excitement I didn't ask for the VIN
or where he got it.
AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGH! I've got it bad.

HELP!!!!

My SSR is built, I have a VIN, the dealer has an invoice, but

the Vehicle Order Event History shows "4B00 Bayed".

What does that mean?

Your response will be of great value.

It shouldn't be to long for you! It means it's going thru finally QC check! Next step is shipping! I had my truck 3 day later. Oops you are CA! It gets trucked to Flint Michigan and put on a rail car at the Truck and Bus Plant and maybe it will be two weeks from then! :cheers

Ron..

Thanks for your reply. I feel better knowing from a reliable source that it's just around the corner.

Did I notice, in your delivery pictures, that there was a trailer in front of the SS/R? What's that for? Someone told me that trailers are for horses. You are going to drive it, aren't you?

It's call having two vehicles to drive and only one A$$ to put in a seat!

Congrats on your new ride!

PLEASE--- This guy Ron is just a BROKER and I bet screws up the system when new vehicles come out making it harder and more expensive for consumers to buy the vehicles at MSRp or less. Bet you could buy the red SSR he has been posting photos of. Do we really care? We all know what they look like.

What are you here for?

Doesitmatter,

What are you on this forum for then?

I think most of us are here for info, pictures, and camaraderie.

I think Ron has given us nothing but great information, pictures, and a feeling that we are not the only one who appreciates this truck.

I don't care if he is a broker, he's given me much more than any other broker/dealer would even think of doing.

Ron, thanks for all your posts :D

Ron has been the most consistent source for high quality information.... certainly better than the press, most dealers and even GM. The pictures are a bonus. Thanks Ron!

PS: For those that that aren't interested in the SSR or Ron's postings, I hear you can buy a Taurus at a great discount and get a rebate on top of it. I'm sure they have a site that will entertain you too....
