ONTARIO CANADA 2018

:hyper:I said I would never do this again after being involved in 5 rallys, but I can't stand the fact that there is so much to see in southern Ontario, and no one else is stepping up. Keep your eyes on this forum for an exciting new rally June 14-17, 2018. Working out hotel details and will post this exciting NEW event in the next couple weeks.:banana

That sounds like a good excuse for a caravan across Canada from East to West. Have to wait until closer to see what else is going on.

Hope all is safe in that area. My 08 TBSS was stolen near Brantford back in 2010. The native Indians stole it right in front of my eyes. They love GM vehicles. I learned a lot from this experience. Disable them if they are parked overnight. Leave nothing of importance in the vehicle. The police rarely give a sh!t since it happens way too often. They could spend all their time on stolen car reports.
As a side note: I was told by the 6 Nations Indian Reservation Detective that the best cars to drive in Canada are Fords and Chryslers. The Indians do not like them. You can leave them running with the doors open, and they will walk right past them.
Have a great time.
PS. I was born in Toronto, so do not think I am bashing. Just a friendly warning. It could happen anywhere.

Medina, I was born and raised in Toronto as well. I have not been back in 30 years. I don't know about now but it was a great city. I should go visit it one of these days.

Toronto is a great city, but way over-populated for me anymore. It is horrid to try to drive through it anymore. Too few highways, but they are stuck now, no more room to put any new ones in. My family left 6 months after I was born. My dad was working there at the time. I love the people, very nice and friendly. Have not been back for work since 2010. Don't want to lose another vehicle.

Thanks for your encouraging report, that should help with the turnout. Yes it was a problem for years all across southern Ontario, but SSR's where not on there bucket list. Pickups and SUV's were. That group was finally caught early this year, and it appears things have stopped. I am in the truck customizing business, and we heard those stories from customers reguarly, this year ony two, and that could happen in any city. If it was that much of a risk, I sure as h--- would not be putting my SSR family ay risk.

It was a public service bulletin to advise every body to be safe and vigilant. Never hurts to be fore warned. I hope it in no way puts a hamper on the turn-out. As you stated, it was a big problem, so there is insight on your part as well. Be safe, where ever travels take you.

That's it if things are as bad as I hear on here, I am moving out of Ontario. Maybe move to Detroit. Good thing I read all this as I was living here with no fear. We do not lock our doors, shop or house. Cars are unlocked in driveway. 21HP mower sits in side yard. :grouphug
