I had some trouble putting my top down this winter (too cold 0*) for packing my top storage area. Kept getting Roof Time Out. I had to keep pushing top button to get it to open and then close.
Now I’m in Florida, 70*, and tried the top and it was still doing the same thing. Finally it broke loose and worked OK. Now I want to lube switches and hinges. What’s the best lube to use? Thanks, Walter

I like LPS-2 for hinges and LPS-1 for general silicone lube. Each has specific places where they work best. Available in lots of places.

I think micro switches are best lubed with CRC 2-26 contact lubricant. Available at Home Depot.

My two cents....

I've used Silicone spray lube on all the hinges. I put a rag under the hinge and soak it so it penetrates well and don't get all over everything. It does not attract dust and dirt like an oil lube will.
Do Not use WD40, you'll never get rid of the smell and it will permeate the interior.
As Mike points out use a quality electrical contact lube for the switches.
