Hi,

my SSR will be shipped shortly frim the states to Europe.

What accessories should I be shipping with it. I.e. what does one need to have.
I will be next week in AZ and CA to do some shopping ;-)

thanks,

Stefan

Stefan,

What accessories did you order with it? (Runningboards, chrome wheels, etc.)

First accessory - A WindsurpreSSR! This is a MUST!

My order covers:
-- Manual 6 Speed Gearbox
-- Preferred Equipment Group 1SB
-- Cargo Area Compartment Trim Package
-- Auxiliary Gauge Package (if possible with Metric Instruments)
-- Corlor Keyed Package Without Running Boards
-- Floor Mats with SSR logo
-- Vehicle Cover
-- Bed Rail Trim
-- Cargo Area Storage System
-- Cargo Ares Customized Floor Strips
-- 19" Chrome Wheels

Its a little odd ordering an American Car. No options!!!! It's always fun ordering a German car! Ok I want this car without option X and Y! When will it be build? It's all build to order!

The WindsurpreSSR is on my list. What else?

You pretty much have it all covered... you might want to reconsider the following options too.
  • Soft Side Storage Bags
  • Cargo Storage Organizer
  • Running Boards (might want to have it helps to protect against stone chips)

You might consider getting some hydraulic fliud for the top, although you probably can find some there, but just in case. :ssr

Now that you mentioned it, where is the hyd. electric roof motor and res. located. I hear it behind the seats someplace, does the fluid level need to be checked. Dave

Hi Marc,

I have considered the "Soft Side Storage Bags" and the "Cargo Storage Organizer" but I did not feel like I would gain anything. The real thing I would gaine something from is a stronger towing weight in order to pull my racer. But I will have to check this once it is in Europe.

In respect to "The Running Boards", I feel it does not fit from the look to the car. You loose somehow the roundisch look of the SSR.

thanks,

Stefan

Hi drtrcer,

thanks for the tip. Is this hydraulic fluid something special? How much should I get?

Hi ECurtis,

do you have a link for that "Remote Roof Opener"?

What would also be interesting is a bluetooth handsfree set for the phone.

best regards,

Stefan

From reading other threads here, it sounds like the fluid from GM and Saab are the same. Whether there is an equivalent, I don't know. I checked at my local dealer( which I did not buy ssr from), they quoted $63+, and couldn't even tell me what the container size was. There are some threads on the fluid, don't remember just where they are, perhaps a search would find them?

Raise the flipper door and look under the black box at the front of the compartment.
