We got home last evening after a great trip to connect with old friends in Branson. We logged 3200 miles with over 56 hours of time “in the seat”. Average speed about 56mph. The supercharged 6.0 burned about 170 gallons of fuel and averaged 18.8 mpg. Nice.....

We stayed off of the interstate highways as much as possible on the way home and took the scenic route across Monument Valley yesterday. If anyone is planning to travel between four corners and Flagstaff, you MUST use the route between Bluff and Kayenta. That is where you will find many of the iconic panoramas. Well worth the few extra miles. Here’s yesterday’s route and a few photos.

After being gone for 12 days, it felt great to sleep in our own bed last night.

Regards all,

Mike

Installed the Emblem Bracket from simple engineering. We won it at Branson. Carbon Fiber. Sweet. Thanks Mike.

Went ahead and made the push to get home tonight. 580 miles today, 4517 for the 16 day trip. About half what we did last year but I'm glad to be back in my own bed tonight. Avg. 18 mpg for the trip and was greeted with this coming back to CA:

I miss those MO, OK & TX gas prices.

I certainly resemble that remark.
