I think my 2005 SSR with the 6.0L LS2 engine and an automatic transmission is idling way to low at 550 RPM.

If you have the same, what does yours warm idle at? Does it change at all between Park or Neutral and Drive?

Thanks for the help fellow SSR owners.

That looks like a 500-550 rpm read to me. Could you see the line for 500 below the needle.
Mine seemed to be right at 500 maybe 525 at idle and 500 in gear.

Computer controlled

With electronic throttle and engine computer control, the simplest answer is 500 RPM after warmup, rain or shine, cold or hot weather, in gear or out, A/C on or off. You could have 2 spark plugs dead and it will still idle at 500 RPM. Technology is great.

Mine @ 500 rpm idle all the time after warmup. Higher idle scheduled from computer before that.
