I don't know about everyone else, but my favorite feature of this truck is the brakes. I have never, ever had a vehicle that had little or no brake dust. I believe someone mentioned before and stated that they are made of some organic material? Why is it that our SSR's produce little or no brake dust and just how much will it cost to replace them when needed? The wheels are so easily cleaned because of their size and the lack of brake dust makes it effortless! I love these brakes and the stopping power is also pretty impressive! :seeya

Defrost

I was impressed by the "quick defrost" selection on the air controls. I really like just being able to flip to the "quick defrost" for a few seconds and then flip it off and everything is clear again.

favorite feature

I agree with Dragon. I love the styling and the retractable hardtop is great. There are so many great features it's hard to pick just one.

I'm one of those people that saw the prototype almost 4 years ago and made a conscious decision right then and there to get one if they made it. So I'd have to say that the entire concept of a "retro" themed truck updated for the 21st century captivated me.

I too was surprised by the lack of brake pad dust. You look at other wheels and they are loaded with carbon. The SSR styling has to be the reason we all bought them. Let's face it, it is the most expensive truck on the market, but I haven't heard or met a person sorry they bought it.

I am agreeing with Blast and others. When I saw the truck the very first time I was in love the look was the coolest new thing I have seen and I still haven't seen anything else that compares. I love to drive it and I love everything about it. :)

Well said, Machelle. I agree with you, entirely. The first time I ever saw an SSR, about 5 months ago, in Morro Bay, California, I said to myself, "Oh, ****!!!!", because I knew I was going to have to own one. I also knew it would not be cheap, or easy!

Cheers.

Break Dust? Come on guys. We all hate break dust but how can you pick breaks as your favorite feature? To each their own, I guess....

Mine: The fact that "chicks" approach you out of no where to tell you how cool your car looks. Just happened to me again at the gas station a few minutes ago. I have never gotten this much attention from the opposite sex :lol :cool

It should come with a warning that "this car may ruin weak marriages" or at least with some coupons for marriage counseling :lol :jester

i agre with everyone who says it is the "whole package".

just had to have it regardless of the fact that I couldn't afford it and my wife went nuts!

bargaining!?!?!?!? I went into the dealer and said, "if you can put me in that car for MSRP let's do it in the next 10 minutes".

Never saw a happier salesperson in my life!

Guess I lit up quite a fire with this post! I suppose I should restate myself and ask, "Other than the obvious features like the great styling and retractable top, what would be your favorite feature?"

I'm off to the Beachcomber Corvette club show today. Will try to take some pics and post them later.

You know all of you talk about people coming up to you all the time, and I am getting a little pissed because when my husband drives MY SSR he will have people come up, follow him to gas stations and all that, but I think that because I am a girl driving this SSR they somehow don't think I know anything about it or that it isn't mine, I get the high school kids and granpa's (no offense to anyone), Not that that is a bad thing but where are the hot guys?:)

I'd have to say that the styling is what first attracted me several years ago, and I just had to have one. The convertible hard top was a big part of the attraction.
Now that I have it I would say I'm most impressed (like) the handling, power and stopping abilities. I just can't seem to keep myself from pushing the truck and me to our limits on the twisty roads around here.
Even bought a radar detector.
This truck is a bad influence. :lol
