I have had my 05 Smokin Asphalt for a few months now. I couldn't be more happy with the entire vehicle. Front to rear, it's just unbelievable and this web site is fantastic. I have had two minor problems I was going to see if any one had had:
1) My information center in the instrument panel dosn't come on 75% of the time? Has any one else had this problem?
2) I have noticed my wheel centers are pretty loose and don't stay lined up. Can you adjust them or do I need need new ones? Thanks folks!

Can't help

I've never had either of those problems. I would take it back to the dealer and see what they say.

YES!! I've had both of those. The dealer has a fix for the wheel center caps, and can do that for you (it involves some special tape on the inside) but they've had my vehicle twice for the Driver Information Center being blank and have not been able to fix that. The one time that I was able to bring it in while it WAS blank, they were able to verify that it does, in fact, happen and could not get it to come back on again. It was a Saturday, with limited help and told me to bring it in on Monday.....it was of course working again on Monday, so again there was no fix.

is it possible that you may be confusing the blank display with the fact that there is a setting that keeps it blank and that the display only comes on when you hit the button again?????

i for one always keep the display blank unless i am checking something.

worth noting.

reset

The button on the left side of the steering wheel with the arrow on it is the reset. Get the DIC on the reading you want to reset, Timer, Average fuel, Trip A or B, and hold down the arrow button.

Dic

(JUST NOTING)

The owners manual does give you a description of what the buttons do and how to set up the DIC the way you want it (preferences). :)

Same problem with 2 of my 4 wheel center caps on my new 04 SSR. 350 miles and just started to notice it. I pulled the centers off and they are pretty flimsy plastic pieces with plastic tabs and a wire to help put tension on when snapped in so they don't rotate. I'm going to ask the dealer to take a look at them because I fear I'll break them trying to create a little more tension to keep them from moving out of alignment. I'm stopping there tomorrow and I'll let you know what I'm told. Otherwise my attempt to fix the problem will be some felt pads for using under items placed on nice furniture. I figure I can put a few in places on the rim where the cap "tabs" are located and it might add enogh extra friction to keep them in place. Cheap fix if it works, I'll let you know.
