Angels & GM Reach Agreement on Three-Year Partnership
Friday April 15, 1:00 pm ET
- "Saturday Night Drive Sweepstakes presented by GM" Promises 13 Vehicle Giveaways

ANAHEIM, Calif., April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The Angels and General Motors Corporation (GM) announced today a three-year partnership between the two organizations. As part of the exclusive automotive agreement, a new promotional opportunity has been created -- "Saturday Night Drive Sweepstakes presented by General Motors" -- which gives Angels fans the chance to win a brand new GM vehicle every Angels Saturday home game. This announcement was made by club President Dennis Kuhl and Mike Jackson, general manager for GM's Western region.
The "Saturday Night Drive Sweepstakes presented by General Motors" will give fans the opportunity to win one of 13 GM vehicles throughout the 2005 Angels Baseball season at 12 selected Saturday home games (April 23, May 7, May 28, June 18, June 25, July 9, July 23, Aug. 6, Aug. 20, Sept. 3, Sept. 17, Sept. 24).

The sweepstakes will kick off on April 23, when three lucky contestants will have the opportunity to win one pre-selected GM vehicle (Chevrolet, GMC, Saturn or Cadillac). Vehicles being given away through the "Saturday Night Drive Sweepstakes presented by General Motors" include: a 2006 Chevy HHR, 2006 Chevrolet Impala, 2006 Chevy Suburban LTZ, 2005 Chevy SSR, 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt SS, 2005 Chevy Equinox, 2005 GMC Yukon Denali, 2005 GMC Envoy Denali, 2005 GMC Sierra, 2005 Saturn VUE Red Line, and two 2005 Cadillac CTS.

At Angels' Fan Appreciation Day (Sunday, Sept. 25), those 24 total contestants who did not win the vehicle on the previous Saturday home games will take part in "Second Chance Sunday" for the opportunity to win a 2006 Chevy Corvette (the 13th vehicle giveaway).

To participate in the Angels' "Saturday Night Drive Sweepstakes presented by General Motors," fans can either enter on-line through or GM's web site, or fill out the entry stub on the back of any Angels game ticket (stubs may be deposited in any of the red "Saturday Night Drive Sweepstakes" containers located throughout Angel Stadium). All Angels' full season ticket holders will automatically be entered in the sweepstakes for each contest period. Official sweepstakes rules can be found on the Angels website or at .

Beginning April 22, GM vehicles will also be on display at Angel Stadium and throughout the remainder of the 2005 season. Each Friday-Sunday home games, GM will host an interactive vehicle game where participating fans can earn free Angels merchandise.

The collaboration with the Angels is part of GM's larger growth strategy to integrate its Find Your Style ( ) consumer marketing initiative with high-profile events. Find Your Style is a campaign that was launched to address the unique styles and diverse personalities of Californians, as well as to illustrate the idea that cars are an important component of self-expression for consumers everywhere.

"The partnership with the Angels presents a unique marketing initiative that will enhance the fan experience," said Jackson. "General Motors offers a wide variety of vehicles to fit every California lifestyle, and we invite Angel fans to join in on this exciting opportunity to drive home with an impressive set of wheels."

General Motors is a long-time sponsor of Major League Baseball Clubs, and the agreement with the Angels extends this tradition. Recently, General Motors inked a three-year sponsorship agreement with Major League Baseball Properties making Chevrolet the "Official Vehicle of Major League Baseball."
