Just a few comments for anyone considering one. I purchased from co. of the same name. Cost was $225 (because they can). Thin piece of Lexan that velcros with straps to the headrest rollbars.
Pluses: hugely decreased topdown turbulence.
easy to see thru.
Lexan itself largely invisible, doesn't detract from looks.

Minuses: poor execution, velcro not long enough, waterfall cutout off-center
velcro ugly and DOES detract from appearance
squeaks where lexan meets rollbars

bottomline, this thing needs a baffle, but one that mounts between the seats.

would love to see it. Whatever the design, however, it needs support at the top, or it will really vibrate. There seems to be a reasonable amount of space between the leather and "rollbar" to insert something of a mount. Of course, you could no longer dump the seat forward, not that there's much reason to do that.

Windscreen

;) ;) ;)

This is a picture that I had for a while. It took me some playing to get it into a format that I could put on this site. This is what the Windscreen will look like when it is available later this year.

It is designed to keep the major blasts of wind from whipping around from the rear but, being a fine mesh, will let some air flow through it.

This is not a picture of the Windscreen on my vehicle. :cry :cry :cry :cry I wish it was!!!

As soon as I get any details ( part #, price, etc.) I will post them.

I like the screen...a little big I think though. I would like to see the lexan one if anyone has a picture or a website. Now with either of these...can they be on with the top up too? Does it have to come off to use the top?

mnkybars

www.windbaffle .com

but I don't think an SSR specific picture is there. Mine is on and nearly invisible from any distance which is why I prefr it over the mesh design that I have had on convertibles in the past. Doesn't interfere with top operation.

Het badass, did you get anything done yet?

Thank goodness for guys like you. I was looking at the same bolts on the bulkhead behind the seats, right? But, IF it doesn't work out, could use th actual rollbar to mount to between the seats. The lexan running behind th seats probababvly not needed. Keep me posted!

I came up behind a BMW the other day. It had a windscreen that looked like a mesh fabric. It was attached to the seat backs with some sort of slipover set up. It looked quite simple and easy to attach. It also seemed it would be adaptable to a wide variety of vehicles. Other than seeing it from behind I can't tell too much more about it.
