Windows down automatically ????

Ok .... had the car for 6 months now and NEVER came across this. The wife and I went out for dinner last night. Getting back to the car I accidentally pressed the FOB unlock buttom 3 times quickly instead of the usual 2 times to unlock both doors. Next thing I know ..... the windows are rolling down ???? Thought, ( oh great, electrical problem). So out of curiousity when we got home I stood outside and pressed the buttom 3 times quickly again. Windows rolled down ??? Did ANYONE else out there know this was a feature ??????? I had NO clue.

Chris....first time I have heard of this one. Sounds pretty neat though. I will try it when I go home tonight. Sure wish they would tell us about these things! Do you have an '03, '04, or '05?

Well months and months ago, I brought up the fact that the owners manual said that if you pressed the unlock button 4 times it would express the windows down, but everyone who tried it said that it didn't work.....so it would be interesting to find out at what VIN# that this started working and if us early owners can now get that programmed in......

Mine's an 03'
Don't know the VIN#

Now .... is there a secret password to make them roll back up too ?
Or do you have to keep getting in the car ... turn it on ... roll them up ??

remote windows down

This feature was eliminated due to problems and only vary early 03 models had this feature. This thought kind of goes with the automatic volume control for our radios, that feature is gone also, but find a GM dealer that knows it? My volume goes up when the top reaches the full down position and that is their trade off. Does anyones radio sound really increase as interior noise increases?

Wow, glad I saw this thread. I have also gone out to my truck a couple of times since I have had it and the windows were down. I could never figure out why. :mad Just did the test right now and sure enough after 3 quick times they go down. Thanks for the info! :thumbs

Mine doesn't

My windows don't go down either but Tony (who is a member) showed me that his does several months ago. He has a very low vin # also.

Does everyone know that when you put the top up that if you continue to hold the button after the ding ding that the windows will go up????????????? :cool :cool
