I needed a new windshield for my BLACK :black:

I saw dicktator's post with the brand names and all.

HOWSOMEVER,
I contacted 5 supposedly local glass places, OF COURSE, none were actually local.
All of them only had ONE choice for SSR glass and mostly they didn't even know the manufacturer. At least all them had the same # DW 1534 GBY.

I have an appointment with GLASS AMERICA tomorrow.

I picked them cause they were shown in one of DICKTATORS posts !

and everyone knows, he's the SSR MASTER !

Sure hope it has the GM/SSR logo on the bottom center of the glass. Otherwise, it's a replacement and not an OEM from the factory... Hope it works out for you Fred!

WELL, it's done.
the installer had never done an SSR but did a GOOD job and quickly.
The replacement did not have the GM/SSR logo but was the ONLY one available.
total price $235.00 Glass America is OK.

Just checked my windshield because I remembered that it did not have the SSR logo in the center of the windshield. It's a Guardian Safety Float Shaded Laminated Antenna AS-1 GG-M55A DOT-22 Made in U.S.A. DW 1534 GBY.

Apparently, it's the same windshield you received. Never have had any problems with the wipers due to curvature issues.

Bought my SSR used, so who knows what's been done in the last umteen years.

Fred, can you PM the Glass America location you used and maybe a WO#?
I contacted them and they said the glass is not available and their supplier is PGW, they do not get glass from Guardian according to her. She can look up the install If I give her a WO # then get with her parts dept about availability in TX.
