first of all what an awesome product Ray has put together. the install was a snap. took 35 minutes including a trip down to Ace to pick up the 7/16 bit i didn't have handy. now have a nice warm pocket even at 85 mph.

Great step-by-step pictorial, pesos

I ordered my WindSuppreSSR from Ray yesterday. Just couldn't go without it any more. The wife doesn't want the top down...you might just know why :nopity Can't wait to put the stamp of approval on it as everyone else has done. This is a win-win if I ever saw one.
Now all I need are those purple pillows to fill the holes in the head rest supports. :yesnod

Great pictures Pesos! Thanks for posting. Most of the questions I get are from people concerned they aren't very mechanically inclined and are afraid they won't be able to install it themselves. With your posting and pictures it really shows just how easy it is to install the WindsuppreSSR. Should help to put peoples mind at ease. Thanks for taking the time! :)

pesos - Thanks for the install pics.

I was reading the posts and starting to wonder when mine would arrive, the door bell rang and the UPS driver hands me a long box. My Windsuppressr is HERE!

2005 SSR Silver (paid to much but this one is fast!)
2003 SSR Yellow (gone but not forgotten, just saws the writing on the wall and sold it fast)

I don't know how the windsupreSSR works compared to the GM one but i think it looks MUCH , MUCH better. :thumbs

I installed the Windsuppressr the other night. The hardest part was trying to find my 7/16 inch bit and taking of the passenger side cup holder (I could have sworn that the '03 cup holder slid in from the top and would work on either side...) kept trying to pull it up not towards the front like it requires.

How does it work? Pretty darn good, I sit fairly straight up and the hair (whats left of it) on the top of my head barely moves at 55 to 60. My youngest daughter is only about 5' 6" and has long straight hair, she did not even bother to but it in a clip.

GM Wind Screen

I've got the GM screen, it works well, but I don't like theway is obstructs the rear view and looks more obtrusive to vehicle's lines that the clear one.

Sorry bobs,

"Advertising" at the expense of another members thread is a No-No. This isn't a freedom of speach issue... if you want to advertise your own product you must start your own thread.

If anyone would like to discuss this issue further, please PM me.

WindsuppreSSR

I really don't mind the competition in fact I want everyone to be able to compare what is available for the SSR as I believe the WindsuppreSSR will be the preferred choice hands down! But I have to say it is a pretty low blow when a seller has to take over a thread that is about WindsuppreSSR Install Pics. to advertise a competing product just to confuse people! Add to that this Bobs is a non supporting member and has no business advertising in this area anyway! :cuss
So by all means compare the competition to the WindsuppreSSR but please don't be confused that the Windbaffle and the WindsuppreSSR are one in the same they are two different products by two different manufacturers.

Not the first time

Couldn't find my post suggesting Bobs ante up the $25 before selling his product, but he's been selling his product since June without supporting the site.

Found this post from Tarheel

You know it really gets me that your still
trying to sell your baffle without being
a supporting vendor or supporting member of
this site.

Following is Bobs first post, back in June - where he magically found the website and posted it for all to see.

Windbaffle has a windblocker for SSR that mounts without damage or bolts. It is made of Lexan-MR rated and guaranteed. They've been around for over 9 years with a patented unit for about $220. Anyone tried it yet??
Found it at: [edit out wind website]

Since then, he's advertised a summer special, fall special, winter special, post snowstorm special ..................

I still think the same way - if you're making a profit from SSR Fanatics, at least pay your way. :mad

If anyone is unsure about the two products, just do a search, and check the relative performance of the two - windsuppreSSR was built specifically for the SSR, the [Edit]wind*** [Edit] is velcroed to the headrests. :thumbs
