GM Heritage Center Tour

Hi Troy,

I would be very interested in attending that tour. I am leaving tomorrow morning... late in the AM. However, if there is going to be a tour and it is held in the afternoon I will leave earlier than planned to get to Michigan on time. It is approx. a 4 1/2 hour drive through Canada and pass thru to the tunnel. (If there are no major delays) Please give full details if this becomes a reality!

I have a guest with me so please reserve 2 spots for me. I hope that we can join in on what sounds like a once in a life time chance to tour the GM Heritage Center with the Design Manager of the SSR!
:)

I believe Tom is coming up on Thursday also... SSRCobra

My Room number is 343 if anyone wants to contact me here. Hope to see you later tonight or Friday.

It is planned for Thursday evening from 5-9.

Glen Durmisevich sent an e-mail- "I will meet up with any of you who have arrived at the Marriott Courtyard between 4:30 and 4:45pm Thursday, at which time we can caravan to the Heritage Center which is just a couple miles away. I'll be in my Black SSR.
Hope to hear from Troy about the tour. I was told there are a limited number of guests going. Lets try to leave as soon as we can. Hate to be too late lol

Have a safe journey everyone!

First day at Woodward

If you went from Buffalo, along to the 401 to Detroit, you were about 5 minutes from my house along the 401 in London.

You could have stopped for a coffee....
OH I would have liked to have coffee... we came through by the 401 early this morning. We decided to take 401 to the tunnel to Detroit. So would you have still wanted us to stop by and say hi? lol

Had a great time cruisen Woodward Ave. Saw where Chevy is setting up along Woodward. We went on the GM Heritage Center tour tonight. WOW!!! Loved the tour given to us by a very knowledgeable Glen Durmisevich, Design Manager. He was a terrific tour guide... learned a lot about the SSR developments/ options and new features that are coming to the SSR soon. We should get to see some of them at tomorrows media event.

We drove down Woodward after the Heritage tour and you would have thought that the cruise was in full swing. Woodward Ave was jammed packed with all kinds of vehicles!!! FOUR LANES of wild cars and wild people... burn outs, loud muffers/no muffers looked like a the circus was in town lol hmm more on that later...

I started to take photos - 89 so far and hope to post a few in a special thread soon.

See the rest of the SSR gang tomorrow. :)

Leaving times

HI Gang,

We should probably plan on leaving around 2:00 ish to head out to Athens Coney Island. Load in time is 2:30 - 3:30. Tom's trailered SSRCorba came in yesterday afternoon. We met up with him and Glenn Durmisevich around 4:15 PM at the same time. Tom's SSR looks and sounds awesome in person. :thumbs

More on that later...

See you all soon.
