How many SSR Fanatics are going to be going to the Dream Cruise this year?

The SSR team at GM is going to have an opportunity for a limited number of us to take part in some additional activities. I'll have details soon. Right now I just want to see how many might be going.

My wife and I will definately be there. We picked up number 286 in Royal Oak, Michigan last October.

Based on my experience over the past two years, the biggest problem is finding a place to park and hang out and watch the show drive by.... See 'ya there.

Dream Cruz

I tried to attend the Dream Cruise last year and made it all the way to Jackson, MI from So Cal, but the gigantic blackout in that area prevented us from going further than Jackson. All the gas stations were without power and you could not fill your tank to get there or leave. I couldn't even contact the hotel to confirm that the hotel was open for business. We had to turn around and leave MI. I guess power returned that Sat. afternoon.

I understand it is probably more funn to watch from the parkway or curb then to actually idle along from stoplight to stoplight. Thursday and Friday should be more open and enjoyable for cruising. Don't forget to attend the Ford museum and Edison display while in Detroit. :party

Just got back from Pittsburgh and found a jurry notice. Looks like August is pretty much shot for us. At least they did'nt mess up our July Costa Rica vacation plans. We already paid for that one up front. I would have loved to have done this trip to Woodward!

I am making plans now to make the event. :yesnod
Since my wife is away for that weekend and I am getting some extra paint done to the SSR (since my rear ending).
This will be a HOOT it is a great opportunity for me to see a great show/cruise that I have seen and heard some much about. I would love to be included in some extra activity just let me know.

I guess hotel rooms will be at a premium finding them and $$ :eek

I plan on attending. I know the GM Team will fix us up right for the show. The SSR is the ultimate product for the Dream Cruise and many would say that it is a direct product of the Cruise. It was shortly after Rick Wagoner drove the concept truck in the cruise that he announced that GM would put the SSR in production.
