WindsuppreSSR and the Dream Cruise
Debbie2cu, I am currently looking for space to have a get together on Woodward for the Dream Cruise. WindsuppreSSR would sponsor it and would be open exclusively to all SSR's I told the Dream cruise commitee I need room for around 25 vehicles. If I could get a count from members that would like to attend it would help so if I needed more room I could try to get a larger area. It is all in the planning stage right now and dependent on my securing a site. But all of you that think you might make it please post a reply. Also any thoughts on activities would help I have a few thoughts but would like to get some other ideas.

sounds like a great plan, I have been there for the last 3 years and find it to be the best place of all to see some great cars and trucks. Drove my SSR there last year 2 weeks after taking delivery and put about 1200 miles on it that weekend and had a blast. Hop to see you there.

If I can be of any help with the organization please let me know! Looking forward to meeting some of you! It's really nice to see how many of you that are willing to travel in from out-of-state. I was born in Wilkies Barre PA. Would love to travel their some day with the SSR. Anyone reading this, please try and come out for the Cruise. It's a great time!!!!!rhobbel said:

My wife and I have been there for the last 3 or 4 events. Last year we were guests of GM and the SSR development group. It was a great time.
We'll be going to Detroit again for this summer's event and the NASCAR race the next day. If there will be an SSR gathering, we'll make sure to drive the little red truck.

Hope we can get together again. Maybe we should try and get the same hotel again and make it the SSR hub. Since now I know how to get there and back :lol .

Hi everyone,
Believe it or not, I own a business with a large lot right on the north tip of the dreamcruise route. (Leslie Electric Co., 85 Oakland Ave. (at Woodward), Pontiac.) We have a a corporate function in part of our lot, but if anyone was interested I could set it up where we could have a SSR section set aside. (our lot holds about 100 cars) The location is downtown Pontiac, which is on the far North side of the route. Plus side is since we are on the farthest edge north, it is easy in/out. The negative is we are about 8 miles from "ground zero" which I would call woodward and 14 mile. More pluses, Pontiac always does entertainment etc... downtown, which is walking from our lot. More pluses, its free.
Just thought I would offer - we ususally just let strangers use half our lot, but it would not be a problem to reserve the area. We also supply port-a-potty. If anyone was interested in expanding on this let me know. Personally, I would not have time to manage the SSR deal, I have to deal with a few hundred customers but the more the merrier and it would be cool to have this set up.
