HI Group,

I think it would be fun to hear from everyone out there. Come on tell us what are your most favorite color(s)? Don't be bashful... speak out! Tell us why you think your color is the best.

Also for those that are looking, waiting or wanting to buy one... what do you think the best choice is?

There, I said it and I feel better already! (Geeez!, Where's 17 of 25 or Diggs or someone with a little backup here? :lol )

Hi Blast!

Hey purple is really a cool color... and for me I am actually scared to own anything that I can't easily hide in a parking lot.

OH yes, I know how you feel about having some additional support up there... SSRCobra is the only one that chimed in for Silver. It is great that some here enjoy sharing their favorite colors.

Maybe we could include colors that we would like to see on the SSRs? I hear white as one mentioned, perhaps one in a pearl hue, burnt orange (Pistons tribute) SSR that we saw at the SSR Team events in Athens was a sharp color. I also think a Cherry red would be sweet. Anyone else has any other colors they think would be awesome on a SSR please chime in.
Another color

The PT Cruiser I had was Almond - it would look great on an SSR
Purple????

It's NOT "Purple"...its "Ultraviolet"!!! I don't know bout the rest of ya'll but I lov the fact that mine changes colors in the sunlight. It really catches the eye when people walk by. They keep leaning back n forth 2 c the color changes from blueish 2 redish 2 greenish n back 2 ULTRAVIOLET. :cool

I like all the other colors Chevy came up with but wud like 2 c a Chevy orange, forrest green, the Impala SS burgundy(cherry) red, the old corvette midnight blue, pastel lime green or even the flat dark charcol grey that sum1 did on a custom SSR.
:cool
Now that we've made the decision to keep our 03, I'm really liking yellow - original order was red. My wife loves it, and after seeing the reaction we get, it's definitely the most noticeable. I think the fact that it was the color featured on GM's ad campaign probably leads to a lot of the pointing - you can pretty much lip read "hey there's that truck from the TV ads" Probably wouldn't have had the gonads to risk ordering one, but it sure grew on us in a hurry.

We'll probably be hanging on to this one till the SSR reaches the end of production, and spring for a 6 spd, hopefully in a Candy Apple Red - I think that's officially a retro color, ideal for a "limited edition" final production run.

Hey, Ron, if you're reading this, how about some photos of your red over black.

The one GM color I would love to see on an SSR is Light Pewter Metallic. I had this color on both my blazer and my avalanche. It would really show off the lines of the SSR and is very easy to keep it looking clean. But since it is not an option, I need to give a great shout out for

YELLOW!!!!! :lol
Pewter vs. Silver

I agree! Unfortunately GM has retired Pewter... it is a blend of silver and a light gold metallic. I have had a number of vehicles in Pewter.

Again I agree... very easy to keep clean and looking sharp! Very similar to Ricochet Silver. :cool

The only thing cooler then cruisin in the SSR would be cruisin in the Bertram hooked up to a 70lb. Wahoo, thinking about the SSR!!! :thumbs
:cool Put on the SHADES.... Yeller is the only color!
Custom colors?

Dose any one know if it is possible to get a factory painted SSR in colors other than those in the brochure? Is it totally impossible, insanely expensive, or just that nobody knows how to place the order?

I ask because at one time I was considering a Boxter. Porsche's order page offers custom colors. Even colors to match whatever sample you want to offer. The catch, is that it's about $3500 for that option.
No Custom Orders

HI beer,

The only person I know that got a custom paint job on their SSR was Rick Wagoner's VIN # 0050. His wife as a gift for Rick’s 50th birthday specially ordered it for him. I don't believe there is a option for custom paint work for the SSRs.

I have seen special paint jobs on Corvettes where a few organizations/ companies were able to special order a certain number of Vettes in special color batches.
Like Pink vs yellow

Just thought I add more of a complementary/harmonizing color for my favorite shade of gray....

I think pink/white fits much better with the color of Silver than those bright yellow wild flowers... so what might you think? LOL

Favorite Colors Available

I have four brand new SSR's availble on my retail lot. A few of your members have already purchased from me. This is what I have left:
2004 SSR, Red, VIN: 1GCES14P64B112101 , MSRP: $46,490.00
2004 SSR, Red, VIN: 1GCES14P44B105518 , MSRP: $46,490.00
2004 SSR, Silver, VIN: 1GCES14P94B104378 , MSRP: $46,490.00
2004 SSR, Violet, VIN: 1GCES14P14B111163 , MSRP: $46,800.00
I am willing to part with these for a non-negotiable $35,000.00. All have under 50 miles on them except the Violet, which has about 140 miles.
I work for a dealership in Western New York and the vehicles can be viewed on my website at www.westherr.com. My name is Jason Houseman and I can be reached at 716-662-9775 ext. 653 if you have any questions. Two of your members have already purchased from me and should be able to provide you with a recommendation.
Also, I have a 2005 SSR, Smokin Asphalt, VIN: 1GCES14H65B115025. I will not sell the 2005 for $35,000, but will take serious offers into consideration. I have heard that dealers are trying to get more than sticker for them (I would accept a bid at MSRP) in areas where SSR's are more popular. So call me, or email me an offer and I will do my best to get it approved.
Thanks,
Jason Houseman

Use SSR for Sale forum!

HI Jason & the West Herr Group,

I am from WNY area and know that you are a reputable dealer. However you should be advertising in the "SSR for Sale forum". You might be missing out in customers that are on here looking and wanting to buy an SSR.

Those prices seem to be the best anywhere in North America! If I were in the market for another one I would certainly want to get one at those prices.
Wahoo!!!!
